Framer to WordPress: Keep Your Design, Gain a Real CMS

Framer is a superb design-to-web tool, but its CMS, hosting and plugin ecosystem are closed. Teams move to WordPress for ownership, lower recurring costs and a vast plugin ecosystem.

1. Breakpoints and layout

Framer stacks use absolute and flex positioning per breakpoint. A converter must translate these into fluid Group and Columns blocks with responsive spacing, not fixed pixel boxes.

2. CMS collections

Framer collections map naturally to custom post types with custom fields. Export the collection as CSV and import it; templates become a single-post template in the block theme.

3. Animations

Scroll and hover effects are not part of core blocks. Lightweight animation plugins or a small CSS file recreate the important ones; decorative motion can often be dropped without loss.
